I had been a runner for many years and was training for a half marathon when I was diagnosed, after my first mammogram, with breast cancer in 2014. I worked through a lot of my treatment which included a lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, etc., so I didn’t have much time or energy to run.

Thankfully I was able to get back into running in the summer of 2019. It was through a member of the running group that I heard that ONERUN was looking for local cancer survivors to join the run.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to make a difference, get involved with such a worthwhile event and have some of my friends and family join me.

It is a privilege and honour to be selected as part of this incredible team. I am looking forward to participating in ONERUN with great anticipation and excitement!
