Who is Theresa Carriere?

Theresa and a few students from RMC during ONERUN 2018.

Theresa Carriere is a Londoner who built ONERUN from the ground up in 2010. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 after a routine checkup where she insisted on a mammogram test and started treatment resulting in a double mastectomy. She is now cancer free and is the Executive Director of ONERUN, a title she has held since the beginning of the organization. In addition to this, Theresa also teaches at GoodLife fitness through her love for activity and athletics. In addition to this, Theresa also speaks and shares her message of courage, determination, and strength to thousands and has visited numerous schools and community centres sharing her story with others. (She’s an awesome speaker though…we may be biased, but you cannot fake the experience Theresa gives when she speaks!)

Theresa and her family live in London, Ontario. Originally a native to Sault Ste. Marie, she has 12 siblings which are where she traces her athletic routes from. She and her husband Bill (28 years!) have four children, Nicole, Danielle, Katelyn and Vincent, all of which are extremly atheltic. (It’s exhausting even listening to them talk about the events they participate in…?).

If you would like to learn more about our history as an organization or would like to have Theresa speak at your event, we would be happy to help!
